Local Pubs 

Immerse yourself in the local culture and enjoy the craic and welcome atmosphere of traditional Irish pubs.

Teach Tessie, Meenaleck: A traditional pub known for its warm hospitality and great Guinness.

Leo’s Tavern, Meenaleck: This famous music pub is the home of Clannad and Enya.  In addition to great music, Leo’s offers pub grub (booking recommended) and traditional Irish music and dance.

Sharkey’s Bar, Annagry: A perfect place to catch a game, enjoy some sport and spend quality time with the locals.

Teach Paidi Og’s, Crolly: A traditional pub serving pub grub (booking recommended),  it has a pool table for some light entertainment and regular weekend music.


Dining

Danny Minnies Restaurant: Known for serving local seafood and meats in a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Booking is recommended to secure your spot.  

Arán espresso bar & kitchen:  Serving freshly prepared breakfast, brunch and lunch.  There are two of these cafes in the locality the nearest is in the local village of Annagry and the second is in Goath Dobhair (approximately 8 miles).

Time and Tide: Offering great coffee and homemade bakes and treats, locally prepared quiche and sausage rolls.  Its also the perfect place to buy a quality gift - for yourself, or others!

Cafe Kitty: Based in Goath Dobhair offering quality breakfast, brunch and lunch options.

SU @ Áislann Rann na Feirste: open every Friday only, offering breakfast and lunch, homemade bakes, tea and coffee

There are also take-aways available, Fire and Smoke, Tops Pizza, Midnight Express, Apache, Peppers Diner to mention just a few in the locality.


Arts, Heritage and Creations

Morag McCafferty Artworks: A local painter who aims to keep Donegal with you through art. Pop in to see her work, enjoy an art class or review other artists and local sculptors etc. whom she may be showcasing.

Crolly Distillery: Take a tour and learn all about Donegal's connection to Whiskey making.  With a rich history, the iconic building now houses this wonderful distillery.  Tours take place on the hour, every hour, 11am-5pm Monday to Sunday and last about an hour.  You can also enjoy coffee/tea and a scone or a whiskey cocktail in their beautiful bar.


Activities

Carrickfinn Watersports: Enjoy a range of brilliant water-based activities for all ages.  There's lots of options for all the family from surfing lessons and kayaking trips out to the nearby Owey Island to week long kids camps. Lots of fun guaranteed with friendly and professional tutors.

Ranafast Playground: The ideal place, for kids up to 12 years, to burn off that excess energy!  A great variety of playtime activities in a modern and safe environment.

Ranafast Lake Walk: Enjoy a leisurely stroll around Loch Bhríde.

Derryveagh Mountain Range (with Errigal at its heart): The majestic Errigal Mountain is visible from nearly every point around our area.  Take the time to admire her beauty and if you feel like it, take the path and steps up to the top - whether its sunrise, sunset or any time during the day its a great trek and an amazing sight to behold from the summit!   The surrounding mountain range offer a broad option of hiking trails.

Glenveagh National Park: Simply stunning! Visit the castle and gardens among the wild and rugged landscape of the Derryveagh Mountains.

Beaches: Far too many to mention, choose any road and you will always discover a spectacular beach including the blue flag Carrickfinn Beach (follow the signs for Donegal Airport).

E-Bike Hire: There are a number of e-bike hire options in the locality, based in Goath Dobhair and at Glenveagh national park.
